In the summer of 2006, the exterior of the house was painted. In preparation for this, it was necessary to remove all the hooks from the windows and walls that had been there for the past six years - and they would not be going back up. Well, spend that much on re-decoration and the last thing you want is to spoil it all by getting out the building adhesive and sticking up hundreds of rusty hooks again. So, coupled by an ever increasing workload, and the fact that my family do not really enjoy the extra attention that the displays bring, 2005 would be the last "really big" lights display. The future from 2006 onwards, if indeed I remained at this house, would therefore see far smaller arrangements, and absolutely nothing attached to those freshly painted walls! Still, there are other things I can do so it`s not all bad news.
Smaller displays do not really need to be covered in such detail as the past years, it also takes such a long time to go through hundreds of photos, so I have decided to present details about future displays here in this one section. There are still galleries showing photos and information in more detail, accessable with the icons within each section...
2006
This display originally was not going to happen at all, but as the year progressed, I felt I should do something even if only a little. Having always thought of trying a "minimal" display, the original idea was to simply flood the front of the house in changing colours, maybe with one or two things in the middle window. Towards the end of the year I felt that it needed something more too, hence the roofline was edged in blue and white LED-C7s and the spiral and mini-trees were brought out to provide a festive sparkle in the front garden. Dennis (the deer) also came back for another year on the garage, having hibernated in the attic since the end of the last season. Those colour changing floodlights did not turn out to be as bright as I`d hoped - they appear to show up better in the photos than in real life - so I was glad to have added the extras too.

### Total: 1749* all-LED lights (plus the Big Giant Matrix sign with 2048 bi-colour LEDs) ###
*This total does not count the individual LEDs within the RGB floodlights - they have 60 in each (20 of each colour) but since they are sealed units and the effect they produce is an even flood of light rather than individually visible beams from each LED, they only count as one light each
2007
Over three times more lights than last year, still entirely using LEDs, all in blue and white except for the tree by the door which is finished in a contrasting green. The walls are illuminated by RGB colour changing floodlights, although as with last year, they appear brighter in these pictures than in real life. Despite the large number of lights, the low power consumption of the LEDs means that the whole display draws less than 2-1/4 amps on average. Below are a few preliminary pictures with many more to follow.

### Total: 5328* all-LED lights (plus the Big Giant Matrix sign with 2048 bi-colour LEDs) ###
