The front-middle as seen from the road... Notice the shadowy "2000" figures in the middle window at the top of this picture. They were a 40-lamp window display set bought a few days earlier, and put up on New Year`s Eve. When this video was taken it was only about a half hour from midnight and the Dawn of a New Milennium! There was a lot of fuss made over the Year-2000 celebrations, and I felt like joining in even if only in a small way. The 2000 figure was set on a timeswitch to come on at midnight, though being an inaccurate mechanical one it probably didn`t come on right away. We were all at the top of the hill watching the explosion of fireworks that welcomed in the new year, so I didn`t see exactly when it did come on. It was glowing when we returned though, and remained there until the end of the season. Interestingly, this sign took my display over its exactly-2000-light total, which I was careful to stick to when designing and setting up the display.
