Three-colour LED ropelight around the front of the garage... Around the front and side of the garage is this LED ropelight. Different to neon-ropelight, it is constructed as a hollow tube through which a string of LED lights has been drawn. The LEDs are in three colours but wired as four circuits - red, amber, green and amber again. It was controlled by one of those 8-effect pushbutton units, but since the silly things almost never stay on the last setting they were at when the power is back on for another day, I wired it back to the house with multicore cable and had the controller inside. That way it was easy to set it to the desired pattern if it decided to choose one I didn`t like, without having to go out in the cold or wet.
