These are MPEG video files in 320x240 format showing the control/power monitoring panel, the computerized Light Trees, the Velleman LED displays and colour changing C7 bulbs round the front door and a sweep of the front of the house. I tried to compress these as I did with last year`s videos but something goes wrong every time and ends up making the files bigger! So apologies for the large file sizes which probably limits them to broadband users only, until I can figure out what I`m doing wrong with the compression program. And if anyone can help me squish these down into smaller (<1Mb) MPEG-1 files, please get in touch.

- Main Control Panel. 0:53, 4.7Mb.
The heart of the operation in Central Command, automatically starting and stopping the lights every day. Watch the current consumption rise as all 12000+ lights turn on in six stages! OK, not the most exciting video you`ll ever see but it does show how the controller operates from the programmed switch-on time every day.

- The Trees. 1:10, 6.2Mb.
A new pattern was written for 2004 with chasing and shimmering effects which ran for most of the season. I also re-programmed the controller back to Tree Pattern 2 (from 2002) during Christmas week itsself for a bit of variety. Notice the gently fading blue LED Icicies around the roofline below.

- Sweep round the front of the house. 1:14. 6.6Mb
Panning shot starting wide and sweeping in to show the house, the peak of the roof, the fading Snowflakes and Icicles, around the front door and bushes, then on to the Trees and finishing with a wide shot of the whole display again. As always there isn`t a lot of animation, just enough to make it interesting for viewers and not annoy the neighhbours too much.

- Front Door. 1:11, 6.3Mb.
Showing the Velleman animated LED displays in the windows either side of the front door, as well as the colour-changing LED C7s from Carpenter Decorating round the outside. This year all 15 of them are RGB colour changing types. Still not available in this country as far as I know but hopefully they will be soon.
