After dark, when it all comes alive- this is what all the hard work is about. To see the lights shining brightly after all the time spent preparing and installing them, is an extremely satisfying feeling. And to see people walking by, looking up and smiling, that`s what makes it all worthwhile. I love to see these things myself but the main reason I light up at christmas time is to spread a bit of festive cheer to everyone who cares to come by here- and brighten up the long dark cold nights of Winter. Without christmas, and christmas lights, winter would be such a miserable time, which is really why I love doing this every year, and will carry on doing so for as long as I am able to. One of my hopes is that some people who see my lights will be inspired to put up some of their own, further brightening the long nights.
