2000 was the year I discovered the Internet for the first time, and by the autumn I even had a page of my own on the Net. Now admittedly, it was just one page- the "About Me" page that Ebay provides its members, but I had filled it with quite a few photos of my collections, as well as some christmas display pics too- I treated it as a mini web site, until I learned HTML better, and found a host for a bigger site too. I thought it would be a nice idea to install a Webcam looking up at my lights display, that I could post pictures from on my little page. Not sure exactly why now, but I went ahead and did just that. This is that Webcam....
The camera itsself is that little black pinhole lens thingy looking out from the window- I installed it in that modified junction box to keep it dry. It was connected back to the house on a long cable, and for most of the time, it just displayed its image on the TV in here. But, once a day (or sometimes more) I took a still-shot from it and uploaded it to my web page. The daily image was accompanied by a short bit of news- from how I`m doing getting the lights up, to what the weather was doing that day. Whats more, I thought to save each Webcam image seperately so after the season I was left with an archive of these shots showing the season from start to finish. And now, they are all here below for your enjoyment. Most of them have little bits of info related to the image or the display at that point in time, and some have more than one photo. The time each photo was taken at is given too, (in the 24 hour format).
